I am a self-taught artist working mostly in mixed media because I love to experiment, explore, play with anything that comes to hand. Consequently many pictures are sketchbook works that have accumulated over the years.

I take lots of photographs. The eyes see and the mind forms memories. Photos, a frozen moment in time play their part too. Landscapes are my favourite subject, but it is the essence of the scene that interests me. The fleeting colours, the weather, the seasons, the shapes of walls, tracks remaining from centuries past, and the movement of grasses and plants. These all make a landscape.
