My art is the vehicle that allows me to express that which cannot be put to words.

I have swum in the Grand Cenote of Mexico, danced Flamenco in the cellars of Spain & walked the Great Wall of China - absorbing the culture, memories & experiences & all have contributed to my visual vocabulary.

I resonate with Robert Henri who said, "The picture, if a picture results, is a byproduct of what has past. The object, which is back of every true work of art, is the attainment of a state of being, a state of high functioning, a more than ordinary moment of existence."
I paint from my soul & find that the process of creating art is essential to my wellbeing.

Ultimately it's what the painting says that is important. Not necessarily in the sense of a "message" rather a language understood in the heart & soul, generated there.
